Without fail, the best way to figure out how to approach mechanical engineering, college, internships, clubs, etc., is to befriend an upperclassman or two and have them share their knowledge.

Knowledgeable upperclassmen can guide you on which classes to take (and not take), which clubs to join, and what success looks like for internships and post-grad roles. They might even refer you for internships one day!
Not everyone will find a great mentor in college, and that’s okay. This website can be one version of that guiding mentor's hand.
